MMF Journey

MMF (Merpati Maintenance Facility) was inagurated in September 6th 1991 at the same time with the 20th Anniversary of PT> Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero), by Minister of Communication Mr. Azwar Anas, in Surabaya.

MMF is claimed the biggest Aircraft Maintenance Facility at South East Asia for turbo prop aircraft type at that time being. Hangar witj capacity 4 aircrafts, completed with various workshop built in one area at Juanda Int. Airport of Surabaya to replace the previous maintenance facility at Ujung Pandang.

MMF is an Approve Maintenance Organization (AMO) that was approved by Indonesia DGCA with register number AMO 145D/093 to support maintenance of PT. Merpati Nusantara Airline’s aircrafts.

At 2012, it was a milestone for MMF to become world class AMO, with approval from EASA for B737-(Series) makinng MMF more confident in developing markets outside Indonesia.

On January 27, 2016 MMF officially becames PT. Merpati Maintenace Facility (PT. MMF) which is subsidiary of PT. Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero)- the Deed of Establishment Number 29, Notary Surjadi, SH, MM and approval of Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia in the Number Decree AHU-0005206.ah.01.01. on January 28th 2016.

MMF is currently developing concept One Stop Service to offer complete AMO services from routine check to heavy maintenance, components repair and overhaul, callibration, engineering services and logistic services.

After almost 8 years being a private maintenace facility, PT. Merpati Nusantara Airlines change the status of MMF become a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) that allowing MMF to become a public aircraft maintenance facility for airlines in Indonesia and other region in world.

As a profit center MMF develop the market to various countries, in line with that MMF got an approval from CAA PAkistan and CAA Sri Lanka at 2006, CAA Philipine and CAA Laos at 2008, and Papua Nugini Airforce at 2019.
